How to Contribute Thank you for your interest in making a charitable contribution to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lawrence County. Each year, our program relies on many individuals and institutions to donate money, goods, services and time to our agency. Along with monetary contributions, we are also happy to accept donations of tickets to sporting and other local events in the Pittsburgh area. To donate tickets or other goods, please contact us at bbbslawco@excite.com or at 724-657-3680. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lawrence County is a private, not-for-profit organization. We receive no government funding and we charge absolutely no fees for our services. All of our funds come form donations, fundraisers and local foundations/grants. With your support, we can have a more positive, meaningful impact on the lives of deserving children throughout Lawrence County. Your support helps pay for the recruitment and training of Big Brothers, Big Sisters and Big Couples. It also helps with the matching process between a child and a caring adult mentor, as well as providing ongoing professional supervision and support of the match. Our program is volunteer-driven, and we strive to provide safe and mutually rewarding mentoring relationships for youth and volunteers. Ways to Make Your Gift Cash/Credit Card: A gift of cash allows funds to be directed immediately to the mentoring programs of Big Brothers Big Sisters. In most cases, donations through cash, check or credit cards are fully deductible for donors who itemize their federal income taxes. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lawrence County accepts gifts via Visa and MasterCard. To donate by phone, please call (724) 657-3680. Charitable donations may also be mailed to: United Way Contributor Choice Program: Individuals may support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lawrence County through the United Way Contributor Choice Program. Funds donated in this manner will be used exclusively for agency programs and services. When making a contribution to the United Way, designate: BBBS of Lawrence County, PA. Corporate Matching Gift: Many corporations and businesses match gifts to charitable institutions made by employees and directors. Some will even match the gifts of employee's spouses and retired employees as well. Please contact your company's human resources director to see if your company has a gift-matching program. |
