The Past, Present and Future of Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America began as a small organization in the early 1900's, and through the years it has evolved into something great. It is now one of the most widely known non-profit organizations in the nation and provides a service like no other.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters organization opened locally in Lawrence County in 1994 and currently holds over 40 active matches. Since our agency began, we have provided volunteer mentors to over 230 children in our community.

At this time, we have 35 children waiting for mentors - for whom we provide activities on a monthly basis.

Big Brothers Big Sisters needs volunteers and children to make the program work. Inquiries may be directed to the office to begin the application process. We need you!!
